Brooklyn Beckham inspired my new Medium post

There’s a title I didn’t think I’d write.

But Brooklyn Beckham’s statement, made today about not wanting to reconcile with his parents, hit me in the chops.  I’m also estranged from a parent.  People can be vitriolic about personal and complicated things like that, so I feel for him deeply.

I also had something to say about how people tend to side with the parents in stories like these, so I wrote this Medium piece.  Weirdly, I didn’t want to write it on this blog as it felt too personal, yet I’m happy signposting it here.

(It’s one of the many strange contradictions that make me human, I suppose).
